Jarvis Jermaine Jamison Jr., 33, used a .45 caliber Springfield XD 45 that had previously been reported as "lost," according to the release by the Lancaster Bureau of police on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023.

B Platoon had been called to the report of shots fired at the mall at 11:04 p.m.

"A single .45 caliber shell casing was located in front of the restaurant. This was consistent with the information provided by witnesses that only one shot was fired prior to the suspect fleeing in a Burgundy Mercury Sable. Additional information from the victims revealed that the suspect, Jarvis Jamison, pistol whipped Victim 2 and that is when the gun discharged a single round," police state in the release.

The officers traced the vehicle to the 600 block of North Lime Street and connected the owner of the vehicle to a renter of an area apartment.

Jamison was taken into custody without incident at the apartment, according to the police.

He consented to a search of his home where the police found the weapon, the police explain in the release.

Jamison was charged with persons not to possess a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, recklessly endangering another person, receiving stolen property, aggravated assault, stalking, possessing instruments of a crime, and city ordinance discharging of firearms, the police say and court documents confirm.

He has a record of theft, receiving stolen property, and armed robbery serving more than five years in prison; with his first offense being the robbery in 2009, according to previous court dockets.

He has been held in the Lancaster County Prison on $300,000 in bail and his preliminary hearing for this case has been set before Magisterial District Judge Mary

Mongiovi Sponaugle on Feb. 22 at 1:30 p.m., according to his latest court docket.
